Individually, public speaking lessons and group therapy for anxiety about speaking in front of others work well. Combined there is a powerful effect that is also time and cost effective.
Sharing experiences and coping strategies with peers can help you feel less isolated and more empowered. The public speaking group is probably the safest and most comfortable place you can talk in front of, and the confidence you build will carry over.

The public speaking group therapy session often begins with welcoming new members and quick public speaking lessons. This breaks the ice in a comfortable way.

CBT Therapy Techniques
This is the core part of my fear of public speaking groups. I will teach you cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and exposure-response-prevention (ERP) methods. These techniques will be integrated with public speaking lessons for a powerful approach.

Summarizing and Homework
Here, we will summarize the fear of public speaking lessons learned today and in recent sessions. Like any online public speaking class, you may be given homework assignments, often integrating with CBT or ERP techniques. You’ll always be able to go at a pace you are comfortable with.
Public Speaking Groups and Participation
One important note about the schedule above: Each member is free to share as much or as little as they want during each step. You can join in on discussion at whatever pace feels most comfortable. Some people feel more comfortable participating more during the more formal fear of public speaking lessons, while others share their own experiences.
Online Public Speaking Class Requirements
I ask that you identify yourself with at least your first name and keep your camera on for each session. I also ask that you attend the online public speaking class each week until you have accomplished your goals. You should be in a place where you are unlikely to be interrupted, and I ask that you face your computer away from where others could see your screen.

Fear of public speaking lessons will improve your delivery, cutting out any quirks you have and helping you look and feel confident in front of a group. This part of the service functions as a high-level public speaking class and would be valuable even if you had no anxiety.

When you feel more competent and prepared your anxiety and stress naturally lessen. Even those with anxiety who may not look to join a therapeutic group report that taking a public speaking class helps reduce stress. Of course we’ll also do the therapeutic group exercises below.

Public speaking lessons are not one size fits all, and instead you will develop your own unique style in this online public speaking class. Many people get worried when they see a strong orator because they feel they cannot emulate that style, but that’s okay. Develop your own comfortable style.

Fear of public speaking groups often center around CBT, both to help lessen anticipatory anxiety and anxiety just before and during your speech. Cognitive behavioral therapy can also work to help you relax and notice other thoughts causing other anxiety in your life. Therapy for speech anxiety provides a valuable toolkit!

ERP therapy asks you to expose yourself to the feared experience so that you can learn to prevent the anxious reaction. When it comes to my fear of public speaking groups it is important to note that you’ll never be asked to move faster than you are comfortable. Mindfulness, relaxation, and meditation techniques are all helpful to have in your toolbox as you work to conquer your anxiety. We will go over these techniques and you can share what has worked for you if you’d like. These strategies can work to reduce anticipatory anxiety ahead of time and stress that day.

Here are the steps involved in joining one of my fear of public speaking groups:
Fear of public speaking groups referral: The first step is referring yourself by contacting me. We’ll figure out the best fit if I have more than one group.
Joining In: The next step in joining the group itself. Members always welcome newcomers; you can participate as much or as little as you want. You can sit back and take in the lessons or actively participate.
Aftercare: After completing the group therapy program, participants may have access to individual follow-up sessions or support. I also hope you’ll continue to pass along what you learned in real situations to help others reduce their presentation anxiety.
